Gaywood
Gaywood is an upscale subdivision in the Memorial area in West Houston just outside the Sam Houston Toll Road on the south side of Memorial Drive. The area is served by Rummel Creek Elementary, Memorial Middle School, and Stratford High School in the Spring Branch Independent School District.
The neighborhood stretches from Memorial Drive southward to the Buffalo Bayou and has great access to the wonderful Terry Hershey Trail. Most of the homes were built in the 1960’s to 1970’s, but as in much of Houston the neighborhood has seen much new construction.
