Sandalwood lies in the heart of Memorial on the fringe of the Villages and is bordered by Buffalo Bayou and Memorial Drive. The most attractive feature and largest draw to Sandalwood is the three beautiful lakes. They are linked to one another and drain into Buffalo Bayou. Fishing is allowed for residents and one of the lakes is opened for supervised swimming during the summer months. It’s hard to believe such a beautiful neighborhood exists just approximately 15 miles from downtown Houston.
The neighborhood is zoned to Spring Branch Independent School District.
The real estate in Sandalwood is exclusively single family homes consisting of classic 50’s ranches, and much new construction as the older structures are torn down.
